Small Town, Big Dreams: Local Support Sought for Candia Scholarships
For as little as $500, local business, organizations and individuals can help Candia students pursue their career goals through scholarships that help defray soaring education costs.

Candia Dollars for Scholars manages several scholarships distributed each year to local high school seniors and current college students in support of their studies at two- and four-year colleges, universities, community colleges and technical schools.

"We certainly need to increase our level of assistance, given that many of Candia's young men and women need financial assistance to attend the college or school of their choice," says Candia Dollars for Scholars coordinator Collen Bolton. "Motivated, ambitious and dedicated to their studies, these individuals are bright, talented, and focused on their career goals."

Businesses, organizations and individuals can provide as little as $500 to $1,000 to establish a named scholarship, she adds. "There is no need to provide thousands of dollars. We welcome support at every level."

Bolton continues, "Our 'best and brightest' need our help to achieve their goals. Through the financial assistance of local businesses and groups, Candia's young people can fulfill their potential and become our next generation of business leaders, doctors, lawyers, engineers, marketers, teachers and other professionals."
